We highlighted, in our last note, the strength of issuance in convertibles in the first quarter of 2018. The impressive start to the year has continued, even accelerated, with over US$37 billion more being raised since the end of March, taking total global issuance to the end of August 2018 to US$66 billion, according to data from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
